Texas H2Oasis has a mission - or three to be exact:

  • Provide Environmental Education
  • Restore / Manage the Land and Water Resources
  • Create a Wildlife Refuge
Segment I: Provide Environmental Education

The purposes of the educational segment are to provide holistic, environmental information to the public via seminars, formal classes, field classes, informal training, and private consultation; create written, audio, visual, and virtual (Internet) educational matter; create an informational learning center to be used by adults and children, including, but not limited to, Texas Master Naturalists, Texas Master Gardeners, birders, nature/landscape artists, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and any other groups seeking raised environmental awareness; create an educational facility for the instruction of land restoration, springs/creek recovery, water conservation, rainwater collection, self-sustaining, environmental stewardship, holistic land management, sustainable agricultural practices, wildlife management, and backyard/community wildlife-habitat creation.

Segment II: Restore / Manage the Land and Water Resources

The purposes of the land-restoration and water-resource management segment are to provide land restoration; springs/creeks recovery; rain-water collection for land/animal usage; self-sustaining, environmental stewardship; holistic land management; and sustainable agricultural practices, via methods such as crop rotation, organic soil replenishment, and stock rotation to supply home-grown food for wildlife sustenance.

Segment III: Create a Wildlife Refuge

The purposes of the wildlife-refuge segment are to provide a wildlife refuge; a safe haven for migratory birds along flight paths; balanced predator/prey interaction; wetlands for amphibians and fowl; water resources for all wildlife, including fish and shellfish; and animals for land management. In Phase III, create a domesticated-animal shelter for stray-animal adoption, not breeding, with a strict spay/neuter policy.

Texas H2Oasis' Mission Completed in Three Phases

Texas H2Oasis will accomplish this three-goal mission in three phases:

Phase II

Educate the public; restore/manage the land and water resources; manage wildlife; and create a facility for public education.

Phase III

Educate the public; manage the land, water resources, and wildlife; manage the facility; and create a domesticated-animal shelter.
